Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data iType collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your data. We process only the data necessary to operate a typing-practice service and we never sell your data to third parties.

When you create an account and use the service, we store the following:

• Username — your public display name on profiles and leaderboards.
• Email address — used for login, account recovery, and essential service notifications.
• Test results — words per minute, accuracy, and keystroke data generated during typing tests.

We do not collect or process any payment data. If you choose to use a Gravatar avatar, the email address you supply for Gravatar is stored separately and used only to fetch your avatar image from gravatar.com.

Your data is used to authenticate your account, calculate and display your performance statistics, rank verified results on competitive leaderboards, and maintain the integrity of the service. Test results may be replayed server-side for verification purposes.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and optional analytics and preference cookies to improve the service. You can manage your choices at any time through the cookie consent banner or in Settings. See our Cookie Policy for the full breakdown.

You may access, correct, or permanently delete your data at any time. To remove your account, go to Settings → Account → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, results, and all associated data within 24 hours. This action cannot be undone. You also have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you.
